Meet Shevaal Singh
Founded by Shevaal Singh, Mehfil Haus was born from a passion for meaningful celebration, thoughtful hospitality and heritage-led design. Rooted in the arts and informed by a legal education, his approach combines creativity, structure and innovation. Influenced by a lifelong appreciation for Indian cinema, music, storytelling and visual culture, he draws inspiration from a broad range of creative disciplines that continue to shape his perspective on guest experience, aesthetics and meaningful celebration.
Before establishing Mehfil Haus, Shevaal spent over a decade working across events, entertainment, creative direction, brand conceptualisation, styling, design and visual storytelling through Tempest Media and a variety of collaborative projects within the media and entertainment industries.
Tempest Media has since evolved into Mehfil Atelier, an independent creative studio focused on storytelling, design and visual communication. Working throughout South Africa’s major cities and destinations, he developed a multidisciplinary approach that blends creativity, aesthetics, logistics and guest experience. These experiences continue to inform the planning, design and delivery of celebrations that are both visually compelling and seamlessly executed.
Today, he works closely with couples and their families to create meaningful celebrations that honour heritage, reflect individuality and bring people together through unforgettable shared experiences. Through both Mehfil Haus and Mehfil Atelier, he continues to explore the intersection of storytelling, design, culture and human connection.
